NORTHERN ITALIAN LAKESIDE RETREAT

Days shaped by
the water.

Set between still water and wooded hills, Velmora is an intimate lakeside house for slow mornings, long terrace lunches and evenings that unspool at their own pace.

A QUIET CADENCE

A sunlit historic stone arcade

The pleasure of unhurried hours.

Some retreats fill your calendar. Velmora clears a space for the day itself. Trace morning light across weathered stone, follow the garden path down to the jetty, and let lunch stretch into late afternoon without an agenda. Every room is composed for calm; nothing competes for your attention.

BY THE WATER SINCE 1928

A historic villa, shaped for today.

Built as a private summer residence in 1928, the house has always faced the changing mood of the water. Restored lime plaster, carved stone lintels and shaded loggias now sit beside raw linen, warm oak and quiet contemporary comforts—creating a house that feels lived-in rather than staged.

ROOMS & SUITES

Rooms made for morning light.

Washed linen, limewashed walls and tall shutters that open to water or cypress gardens. Every room has its own proportions, yet all share the same quiet invitation to unpack slowly.

BETWEEN WATER AND MOUNTAIN

Held by the lake and the hills.

Sheltered on a quiet bend of the western shore, Velmora feels worlds away from the midday crowds yet connected by water to historic market towns, botanical villas and mountain trails.

  • Direct water access from our private stone jetty
  • Private wooden launch departures on request
  • Ferry links to historic lakeside villages nearby
  • Olive-grove and ridge walks directly above the house
